Bottle. Hazy deep maroon brown color, small off white head. Aroma of boozy burnt. Aramel and light cocoa. Taste is rich and boozy brandy and brownie mix. Tasty.

4oz pour at Max’s Hop Fest 2013. Pours a clear orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose of orange, candy, honey, lemon, pine, soap, some tangerine. Flavor has a nice malt backbone, cracker, orange, tangerine, bread. Clean finish. Well balanced.

4oz sample at Max’s Hop Fest 2013. Pours a clear gold with one ring of white head. Nose of orange, herbs, chive, malt, flowers. Flavor is sweet, honey, chive, orange, soap, lemon. Dry finish.

Draft. Clear deep amber color, almost flat. Aroma is very araomatic, berries and tree branches, roots. Taste is biting spiced burnt caramel. Interesting.

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013 Citrus, pine, resin, spice, and dankness in the aroma. The flavor adds a bit more caramel. This smells incredible, and tastes pretty good.

On tap at ACBF 6/1/2013 Light copper color with a smallish head. Aromas and flavors of caramel. chocolate and brown sugar. Reminds me of an old ale a bit sweet but decent.

On tap at EBF 3/16/13. Sweet honey and grainy pilsner malt that gets assaulted with bourbon and oak. It reminds me of the Kentucky commons I’ve tried but the base beer doesn’t stand up to the powerful flavors from the barrel imho,

Burley Oak Barrel Aged Rude Boy. Sampled at EBF. Pours a hazy amber. Nose is all booze, vanilla, caramel. Flavor is a shot of Jamey in a Yuengling. All booze.

Sampled at EBF. Pours a clear copper amber with some rocky, off white head. Malty, bready aromas, cereal, cracker, pine, fruit, orange, flower pollen. Flavor is well balanced, malty and zesty, crackers, malt, grain, bread, citrus, orange, pine. Dry finish. Very drinkable.

On tap at Frisco’s. Clear copper amber with some bright white head. Nose of a quad, prune, raisin, candy sugar. Flavor is sticky sweet, raisin, prune, orange, malt, candy sugar. Full, sticky finish.
