Bottle at home, 09/06/17. Hazed orange to golden with a well appointed off white head of bubbles. Nose is bitter orange, apricot jam, light mango, soft breads, bubblegum, hint of caramel. Taste comprises sticky tropical fruits, mango, light mineral chase, soft brioche, orange pith, toasted grains, grapefruit, cantaloupe melon, pine flicker. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA and take on the NE style.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Oddbins Baker Street. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. The nose holds pithy grapefruit, faint lime peel, cat pee, tangerine. Light sweet flavour with crispy pale malts, light bitter pine, more rindy and pithy citrus character, a little more tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly tidy in the finish, with further pithy tangerine, light rindy and piney bitterness, more crisp pale bread. Well balanced and very drinkable overall.

Bottle at home picked up from London Bridge oddbins. A clear light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a sticky off white head. Aroma is nice tangy citrus, rubber ball plastic, canned pineapple, tarmac. Flavour is composed of dry pithy citrus, lemon , powdery, little rubber, zesty citrus. Palate is crisp and tangy, highish carbonation, dry powdery finish. Pretty good.

Bottle at home, 14/05/17. Off black with a well appointed tan head that retains well. Nose is tarte fruit rinds, lactic nip, charr, light roast, spice, bitter chocolate dipped raisins, liquorice, ashen tones. Taste comprises milk chocolate, vanilla, light coffee grinds, charr, roasted malts, earthy fruit rinds but not as bitter as the nose alluded to. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light soured fruit edge. Ok stout.

Bottle at home, 13/05/17. Almost clear golden with a well appointed off white head that retains well. Nose is fresh grass, citric peel, biscuit, light rose hip, tangerine. Taste comprises airy caramel malts, orange pith, straw, melon, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with grassy hop bitterness. Decent mellow sessioner.

Bottle at home, 13/05/17. Very light haze on a golden amber pour with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is candied fruit peel, spruce, bubblegum, toasted brioche. Taste comprises more candied fruits, mineral bite, light yeast trace, white peppery spice, sharp melon, bitter orange, bready pangs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness. Pulls of the style well but not my kind of style.

Keg at CBC St. Giles - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a tight, creamy white head. Nice juicy and jammy citrus in the snout, some big pine. Light to medium sweet flavour with lots of bready, pae malts, low bitterness, ripe citrus, mellow piney bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with light alcohol warmth, small piney resin, more ripening citrus. Surprisingly dry. So so overall.

Keg at the Euston Tap, West Lodge, 05/04/17. Clear golden orange with a well appointed off White head. Nose is caramel, bitter orange, citric tinged straw, light mango, pine dusting. Taste comprises orange pith, caramel malt, grapefruit zest, pine needle, light mineral bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with moderately aggressive hop bitterness. Decent enough easy drinking DIPA with an Old Skool feel.

Bottle at home. It pours cloudy golden with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, pineapple, tangy, bread, green grassy hops, pine dust and a touch of spice. The taste is crisp, dry, mellow bitterness, juicy, pineapple, peach, dried mango, floury bread, bit grassy, green and light spice with a smooth, fruity finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good go at the style. Works well and is very drinkable.

Keg at the earl of Essex. A hazed dark brown coloured pour with a fine beige head. Aroma is dry powdered chocolate, hint of orange, dry roast,. Palate is dry woody grains moderate carbonation, drying finish. Little thin. Flavour is composed of stale woody grains, tired powdered choc, tangy finish. Meh. Not much orange character.
