Cask at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, Hackney, London. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a healthy off-white head on top. Hoppy, rye aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, rye, some spice. OK.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus and pine. Taste is very bitter, pine, pith. Bitter finish, if a little thin.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours lightly hazy golden-orange with a thick, lasting off-white head. Grainy bread in the aroma, hints of toast, spicy rye, pine. Medium sweet flavor with toasted grains, accents of coffee and toffee, earthy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. More toasted grains in the finish, hints of toffee and brown sugar, light rye spice, earth, orange rind. Pretty nice rye IPA.
