Bottle. A gusher, producing a huge, rocky, white head over a lighlty hazy yellowish-golden body. The aroma is on the fruity side, with some pale malts. Resiny, citrus peel notes. It’s rather bitter on the palate, full to medium bodied and very effervescent. Dry too. Pale malts, resins and pine cones in the flavor, with a bitterness lasting for a good while. More a pale ale than a steam beer this one, but not spot on in that style either. Too effervescent and perhaps a tad dry. 141219

A clear, dark amber to brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Nuts, dust and caramel in the flavor. Some dried figs kicking in. The flavor is roasted and nutty, with some dusty and toasted hints. Caramel and a nice bitterness. Full body, quite dry on the palate, with a caramel finish. Some nuts and toast too.
