On tap at MBGSF 2014. Pours a very dark brown with a light tan head. Muted raisin and cocoa aroma. Flavors of bourbon, molasses, raisin, and red grape. Smooth, but substantial. Really enjoyable.

On tap at MBGSF 2014. Pours deep golden with a white head. Fruity esters in the aroma, banana and yeastiness. Flavors of fruity berry, red apple, yeast. Fairly sweet. Not the best, but still rather tasty.

Clear golden coloured body with the slightest bit of haze and an orange and very light glow, all with a single centimetre tall white head. Aroma of pale malt, the lightest amount of hops, alcohol, metal, and a touch of fruit. Medium-bodied; A hit of light hops up front mixed with some metal, a bit of light malt and a a little stale fruit flavours. Aftertaste shows a bitterness arriving from the metal, light hops, earthy malt and a funky cardboardie and stale flavour throughout. Overall, not such a great beer and fairly far removed from a ’traditional’ IPA - nice to try, given that it’s not local to me right now, but not worth buying if it’s easy for you to get. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 05-September-2013.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dim golden with a white ring of a head. No real aroma but a very vague suggestion of cider. Flavors of apple, pale malt, and honey, with an impression that’s a bit like skunkiness, but not in a bad way. Mostly an interesting beer, hard to figure out. Definitely not bad for a gluten-free, though.

On tap at the brewery. Golden pour with a white head. Floral citrus aroma. Flavor has floral citrus and hops with hints of pine, with an overall nutty yeastiness. It’s rather nice.

Slight copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall, just off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, some light earth, a touch of fruit and a small amount of hops. Medium-bodied; Mild malt flavour with caramel definitely noticeable, some toffee and a nuttiness coupled with a touch of light english/german hops. Aftertaste shows a little nutty characteristics, some earthy malt, touches of sweetness followed by a watery flavour. Overall, a decent beer, but a bit too light and showing too much malt/nuts/earth with not enough complexity throughout. Nice to try, but not really worth a trip in a suitcase. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled two days later in Grosse Ile, Michigan on 04-August-2013.
