Sample at GABF 10/08/2016, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Hazy orange-gold color with a thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lace. Cucumber, yeast and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of fresh cucumber, doughy malt and yeast. The finish is cucumbers and floral yeast. Decent overall.

Can from total wine. Pours hazy orange with an inch plus if beige head. Smells strong and syrupy. Citrus and pine, but thick. Taste is pine and grapefruit rind not as syrupy as I imagined. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from total wine. Pours hazy golden with a soft beige head. Aroma of citrus and green pepper. Flavor is soap, green pepper, citrus rind. No heat at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Clear golden-orange, foamy head and completely sheeting lace.  Really enjoyable fruity hop aroma, good flavor as well with a bigger malty sweetness on the backbone to accompany the hop bitterness.

12 oz can poured into a tulip. Got a 4-pack from a friend, thanks Ben! Aromas of Pizza Hut breadstick seasoning, light coffee and vanilla. Tastes of coffee, herbs and spice, subtle vanilla, some wheat. Light body with a dry finish.

12 ounce can from Wegman’s Lake Manassas, 7/14/16. Hazy yellow, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of wheat and orange juice. The taste is wheat, banana, spice, orange. Thin-medium bodied, crisp, well balanced.

Got in a BIF from oline73. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/22/2016. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big jalapeno pepper, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon/orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of jalapeno pepper, juicy citrus/tropical hops, and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big jalapeno pepper, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness and light pepper spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of jalapeno pepper, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of jalapeno pepper, juicy citrus/tropical hops, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.9%; with minimal pepper heat as well. Overall this is a very nice pepper IPA! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of jalapeno pepper, juicy citrus/tropical hops, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, with the minimal pepper spice and heat. Has nice presence of pepper flesh flavors in balance with a really juicy hop profile. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours slightly hazy medium orange/amber/light copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, grapefruit, black tea, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of lemon/tea, citrus/earthy hops, and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, grapefruit, black tea, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness. Light herbal/floral/grassy bitterness and slight lemon tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, black tea, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of lemon/tea, citrus/earthy hops, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.1%. Overall this is a very nice fruit/spiced amber ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of lemon/tea, citrus/earthy hops, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink. Very classic tasting base amber ale, without overdoing the lemon/tea flavors. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours slightly hazy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, carrot, raisin, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, light toffee/roast, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and fruit/spice notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, carrot, raisin, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, light toffee/roast, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Moderate herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, carrot, raisin, vanilla, cream, toasted biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and fruit/spice flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance, and some light lingering bitter spice astringency near the end of the glass. Light dryness from bitter spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a nice and unique spiced amber ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and fruit/spice flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the lingering spice astringency. A nicely enjoyable offering.
