Description
Founded by brothers, Ken and Matt Praay, Monument City Brewing was born while on a transformative hike along the Appalachian Trail. The two brothers, already homebrewers, traded stories about their favorite craft beers and beers they had created. Upon their return, they set out to create a family owned brewery making world class craft beer for their community.

Today, Monument City Brewing produces some of the finest ales and lagers Maryland has to offer.

12oz can. Pretty straightforward, classical APA. Pleasant Cascade tone. Drinkable, but rather mundane, uninspired.

12oz can. Deep, opaque, next to black brown. Steady, glass lacing beige head. A really solid Brown Ale. Pleasantly full bodied, deep sweet malt tone. Mild hop balance gives it some depth, drinkability. Solid.

Coffee and light roast. Well done. Dark brown pour without much head. A sharp bitter barrel flavour sticks around for a while. Tap at Max's.

12oz can c/o Anndiesel. Filtered body. Earthy, vegetal. Decent enough balance in flavorwise, but the body and mouthfeel are a little flabby, unimpressive. The off tones come through more and more, like oxidized rye. Not impressive at all.
