Bottle thanks to Bgthang. This is from the recalled overcarbed batch. No gush on opening but pours a very lively brown with a medium tan head that needs a few minutes to calm down. Aroma is toast, thin vinous notes of oak and red fruits. Flavor is big toasted malts, thin peat and smoke with leather and tobacco in the finish. Nice complexity for its strength.

On tap. Pours a hazy, pale amber with a dense off-white jead. Fresh if slightly perfumy aroma. Light body, dry fruitiness - dry and citric - with a fairly bitter finish. A lovely session beer. 041211

Bottle. Pours dark brown with overflowing tan head. Nose/taste of caramel, fig and dry barley. Some off infection notes. Medium body. Would like to try another bottle to see if this was just an off one as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the other beers I’ve had from them.
