Bottle. Pours with a black body with a massive tan head. Aromas are roasty, smokey, nutty, marcona almonds, chocolate, dark fruits, medium phenolic notes. Flavors are roasty, bready, toasted malt, quite dry for a big RIS, dates, raisins, marcona almonds, ashy, currants, tobacco and very dark bakers chocolate. Medium to fuller bodied yet dry. Medium carbonation. Mild alcohol warmth. I think I prefer the original version.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden-orange hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are vinous, funk, lemon, lactic acid, peppery, mildly bready. Some earthy brett notes, damp leaves. Flavors are very sour, doughy, mild acetic, wine, vinous. Quite tart overall. Mild citrus, some pineapple esters, and mild brett phenolics. Lively bubbles, with a dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of arminjewell. Awesome, thanks! Cloudy, golden orange appearance with a white head. Tart, lemon, orange, pineapple citrusy, light vanilla, oaky aroma. Tangy, lacto acidic, lemon, orange, tangerine citrusy fruity, light wine, oaky flavor with a dry, lightly vinous finish. It’s hard to detect the whiskey.

Refrigerated bottle compliments of KAggie97 poured into a trappist glass. Pours translucent deep golden with medium bright white head. Great small bubble lacing, medium body, well carbonated, and spicy yeast aroma. Taste is citrus (mostly lemon with a hint of orange) malt, spicy yeast, and dry bitter hop finish. This is a very good tripel.

750ml bottle

Pours pitch black with a tiny sticky brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste is quite roasty and slightly sweet with malts and hints of chocolate, coffee and bitter notes. Finish is roasted and salty with some sweetness and alcohol burning through. A bit unbalanced imperial stout.

75 cl bottle, no BBE info
Aroma is roasted with cocoa, smoke and some ash. Flavour is somewhat salty and sweet with ash, smoke and roasted malt. Some coffee in the finish. Sticky palate. Good, although a bit too salty and sweet for my taste.

750ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours dark orange with a huge long lasting foamy head. Aroma of bready malts, grassy hops and hints of rye. Taste is quite malty with hints of tart fruits and grassy hops. Finish is bitter with some earthy notes and hints of spices. Okay, quite malty IPA.
