Description
DEYA Brewing Company is an independent brewery in Cheltenham, UK. We focus on hoppy beers, lagers, traditional UK styles and mixed fermentation ales. We strive to make world class beer.

Theo founded DEYA in 2015 having become obsessed with American beer and beer culture. In January 2016, Theo picked up the keys to a 4,000ft2 industrial unit in Cheltenham. Once the 10bbl brewery kit was installed, the burgeoning DEYA team dedicated themselves to producing the most delicious pale ales, IPAs and hoppy beers that they could. In 2017, following more national and international acclaim, brewing capacity is doubled with the addition of three 40HL fermentation vessels. In March 2018, a 1000 cans per hour canning line was purchased to complement the four new 40HL fermentation vessels that were to be added in October. This move takes capacity to 3,500HL. In 2019 year we are expanding into a new 25,000 sq/ft premises and installing a bespoke 40hl 4 vessel brewhouse allowing us to significantly increase capacity.

We take a holistic approach to business, striving to be the best employer we possibly can be, while operating in a fair, sustainable and human driven way.

Panda from Colin. Hazy dark gold. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma has citrus, and a combination of canned fruit syrup and porridge. Flavourwise it's fruity sweetness with a tangy citrus edge. A hint of resin. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft carbonation with a lazy fizz. Enjoyable smooth fruity DNEIPA.

Draught keg at the Goat, Long Buckby. Light gold and hazy with a nicely composed dome of white head. Aroma of pie crust, light notes of lemon, boiled sweet. It's a bit muted. The sweet, biscuity malty taste is much improved, with light fruityhops lingering around the finish. Decent body with heavy carbonation. A lovely DEYA beer. Had a lot of those this year.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Murky mustard yellow, no head. Aroma of orange squash. Very sweet with medium body and clean, rounded. Artificial sweetener, peach and mango puree. Disturbing artificial sweetness in the finish.

Can from Great Grog. Milky golden body with a white head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, cantaloupe and fig. Flavour of papaya, melon and brown bread. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. The rye addition adds an interesting edge to this IPA - it’s more than just a dank juice-bomb.

500ml can. Hazy golden orange with a big white head. Aroma is like a bag of sweets, Haribo and Jelly Babies etc., sweet artificial fruity stuff, bubblegum, candied fruits. Taste is a bit more beer like, but overly sweet, candied fruits, orange and peach. Full bodied. I don't know, if they dialled back the extreme sweetness this might be decent, but otherwise it's an unusually mediocre and disappointing beer from Deya. You can't tell it's Steady Rolling Strata at all.
