12oz can. Transparent dulled orange-tan body. Steady, soapy, white head. The hops come off a little more vegetal than bitter. A pleasant enough Pale Lager, but doesn't nail it.

Extremely dark mahogany brown, almost a reddish hue about it, topped with a beige cap that thins to a swirl in time.
Nose is fruit cake mix, toffee fudge, strawberry notes, booze, mellow bourbon, dates.
Taste comprises dark malts, toasted brown sugars, strawberries, dates, figs, molasses.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a lick of booze and a modest bourbon kiss.
Solid sipper.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Deep burgundy colour, small head. Caramelly nose with lots of oaky bourbon. Sweet with full body and soft mouthfeel. Woody caramelly firm malt. Silky with lots of oak. Warming mid bitter finish. Elegant, intense, complex.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small head.Huge vanillaish oak aroma. Sweet with full body and soft mouthfeel. Gentle toffeeish vanilla, brown sugar and coffee. Soothing. Mild, yet powerful with warming finish.

Can. Clear deep amber beer, small and short lived bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation, fine for this brew. Soft rich caramel and toffee malts underpinned by a smooth malt cream. The barrelling is quite something. Soft but rich bourbon and bourbon soaked ripe fruits. Wonderful cherry brandy richness that goes superbly with the bourbon. Super duper. Good solid barleywine that tastes like it would be good before it visited the barrels. The barrels take this to another level altogether. Sublime.

Can. Pours clear mahogany, medium tan head, dissipates relatively quickly, some lacing. Aroma is treacle, dark sugars, brandy, rum, caramel, toffee. Flavor is quite sweet, light plus bitter. Not getting peach per se, but it's good. Medium body. No heat.

Poured from 355mL can (filled 10/29/2024; thanks JF). Medium dark brown with almost no off white head. Nice dark dried fruits, dark sugars, light bourbon booze, blends nicely.
