Description
Illinois' largest independent craft brewery. Brewed in the heart of Chicago.

The change in the U.S. beer scene has undoubtedly been revolutionary. We are proud of what we have accomplished in our short time to become a leader and innovator in the industry. The evolving tastes of beer drinkers has demanded bigger flavors, more variety, and better beer. That’s exactly what we give you at Revolution Brewing. Between our brewery and our brewpub, we produce dozens of different beer styles every year. IPAs, porters, pilsners, Belgian-style ales, pale ales, barrel-aged beers — the list goes on!

Our brewery has been a labor of love. You can see it in everything we do, from the beautiful details of our mahogany bar at the brewpub, to the massive beauty of our eight 800 barrel fermenters at the brewery, to the commitment to quality in each beer that we put in a can or a keg. Revolution believes in the value of hard work. We work hard to provide great, accessible brews for everyday people. We have fun doing what we do and hope you have fun drinking our beers!

Can - dark amber pour with moderate lace - low carbonation in the mouth, with a creamy texture - rich malt structure and warm woody barrel throughout, with notes of vanilla and coconut - high abv is masked well, but is just warming enough - dark fruit and caramelized sugars - earthy whisky notes - brined cherry - finish is long and warm - really nice and balanced for something so strong.

Can shared at BMT during Celly Drippins night. This is serious gear. Rich semi-dark mats, stewed fruits, toffee, bourbon, hearty fruit character, moderate booze, a nip of brown sugar, rum, wood, earth. Dangerously drinkable. Super smooth. Absolutely outstanding.

Can at home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white to off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, citrusy, citruspeel slightly, nicely bitter with distant resinous notes. Alright. 8-7-7,5-7-7,5

Right. A lot more intense than Now. Sweetish, oaky, caramely and heavy with toffee, barrel, syrup, vanilla, figs, prunes and vinous notes. Complex slow sipper. Nice.

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, muddy, small bubbly head . Boozy aroma, bourbon, chocolate. Not getting many scotch ale notes due to the bourbon. Thick, heavy

16 oz can. Aroma has notes of pine, alcohol, flowers, bread. Pours lightly hazy copper amber with a two finger beige head with excellent retention. Taste has a high pithy bitterness backed by some candy sweet malt. Velvety mouthfeel.

Taster from can. Just an impression, perhaps. None of the cherry flavor I thought I detected in my first glass so long ago. Greater emphasis on stout, just a slight warming alcohol.
