Malzig würziger Antrunk, süffig, harmonisch. Spritziger frischer Mittelteil, das Malz ist hier etwas weniger präsent. Heller und herber im Nachgeschmack. Gut! 10/11/11/12//12

Bottle:A bit unclear, deep golde to light amber coloured, relatively quickly diminishing small off-White head; sweetish-caramelly and slightly barnyardy nose with some well hidden hops underneath; sweetish flavour, bitterness barely detectable, tart and sticky; malt and vegetables in the short sweetish-bitter finish. Not a good franconian brew...

Cask at the Jeffrey part of pig roast. Pours hazy orange. Nose of earth and honey. Tastes of light honey, earthy bitterness, some pepper and lemon grass. Slight oily but quite nice and drinkable.

(draught at the brewpub & bottle at home) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Juicy (cara-)malty aroma with apricot-fruity notes and a somewhat corky/mouldy touch, backed by shades of herbal hops in the background. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Distinctively juicy malty taste with fruity notes, traces of caramel and a discreet hops character; sweet and mildly bitter hoppy finish with fruity and delicately biscuity notes. Not as good as their usual Lagerbier. 12. & 22.IX.14

On Cask at Nerax North Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a thin white head with light retention. Smells of butter, butterscotch, toffee, no hops. I really don’t want to taste this after I smell it and I begin to wonder if young lagers should even be put into casks and served. I taste much of the same butter flavors with a moderate bready caramel deep underneath. Medium body, light carbonation with a sweet almost sugary mouthfeel.Yeah uhm if I find a bottle I would try it, but cask maybe not.

Bottle (courtesy of MaxF): Deep golden to orangey coloured, a bit unclear, moderate to solid bisquity-grainy nose with a solid hoppy backbone and tinge of alcohol; really robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; powerful sweet-bisquity and aromatic-hoppy finish. Superb Bock, extremely well balanced from - You guessed it - Franconia........
