Had this again Thursday 27th November 2025 at Firmar Brau, Landshut. Poured into a stone krug, but large white head and looks clear. Malty but with little teases of bitterness, light fruity and a better beer than I recall, okay it's still not amazing but it's pretty good. Score 6.6
Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt, consumed at home Sunday 21st March 2021, listening to Lost Horizons - In Quiet Moments. Pours mid gold with a white head atop. Soft moutheel, a little maltiness, bitterness and hops show, it's ok but truth be told I am not going to drink the whole bottle. Score 6.1

Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt, Au in der Hallertau and consumed at home Sunday 28th February 2021, we're cooking Stifado for tea and listening to the new Besnard Lakes album. We've been gardening today (and yesterday). Pours clear chestnut brown with an off white head, nice softness, caramel, molasses, with a nice little Oomph. Good beer.

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby-chestnut colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Somehow un-sweet, dry, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, a touch rock sugar, minimally herbal, hoppy overtones, fruity whiffs of fig, date, plum. Taste is minimally sweet, dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a touch of rock sugar, minimally doughy, yeasty overtones, a slightly dry, minimally herbal, hoppy touch as well, very subtle fruity hints of fig, date, plum. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well balanced, well controlled sweetness especially, clean, drinkable and equipped with nice fruity subtleties - pretty good.

Bottle picked up from Edeka, Mainburg and consumed at home Sunday 17th January 2021 after a mammoth cleaning snow off of the drive, now listening to Shame - Drunk Tank Pink and cooking lots of Mexican food. Pours pale hazy yellowy colour with a white head. More lemon than beer in the mouth, refreshing but does little else.

Limitierte Auflage für 2020. Sehr helle Farbe.

500ml bottle. Clear, mahogany colour with wonderful, deep ruby shimmer, and small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some caramel, a touch of rock sugar. Taste is rather dry, minimally sweet dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, hints of dark caramel, rock sugar; dry finish. Watery-creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Typical Bavarian Dunkel (malt lozenge dominated rather than roasty or chocolately) with well curbed sweetness. Nice.
