Bottle from Treffpunkt, Nurnberg railway station. Deep amber coloured with a slight white head. Aroma was primarily of sweet malt with a hint of grassy hops. Flavour was very malty, almost doughy with a pleasant toffeeish finish. Very pleasant.

Bottled at Zauberberg zum Gerch, Hof, Bavaria. Cloudy golden, small creamy head. Estery banana and raspberry aroma. Dry and slim, quite drinkable. Possibly too easy going and light flavoured. No bitterness.

Bottle: Cloudy, pale golden coloured, firm white head, visible carbonation; citrus-fruity and yeasty/wheaty nose; quite faint sweetish-bitter flavour, very light bodied; delicate tart-yeasty, a bit clovey finish. Refreshing, but very light.....

A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is slightly acidic - it reminds me of ground vitamin C. The flavor is sweet malty with a good hop presence, leading to a very bitter and dry end.

An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, but also a touch of brewmash. The flavor is quite dry with a strong hop presence on a malty background, that also contains notes of caramel. The end is dry and bitter. Simple.

Deep amber-foxy beer with orange-copper highlights; thick and finebubbled, collapsing amberish-tinted head. Very malty nose, maltbread typically, bit grassy and some cypress-like aromas. Discreet malty, coloured malty, bready and nutty flavours. Light it might be, quite light even, its palate is epitomizing the easy-drinking, light-nourishing, bready Franconian beer. Nice beer - must be simply terrific on draught, at a sun-bathed Bierkeller...

Deep golden, thin foamy stable layer, low carbonation; sweet grainy to malty nose, a bit dusty and "barnyard" too; sweetish-malty start; moderate bitter, slightly sweetish flavour; short, distinctive bitter and drier honey-malty finish. Tasty, well quaffable, rounded Festbier.

Pils? Naja... Test vom 8.10.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,6,7,5,5,6 - 6,05
