About
Founded in 2011, Finback Brewery is born from a passion for brewing and experimentation. After a long search combing through back streets, along canals, under bridges and industrial no-mans lands, braving collapsing roofs and cardboard box jungles the brewery found a space in Queens in 2013. Armed with a 20 barrel brewhouse, Finback released its first beers brewed in Queens in January 2014. The brewery is proud to call Queens home and become a part of the diverse and rich culture of the borough. We’re excited to be one of NYC’s newest breweries and to make NYC culture even better.
Our aim is to make great beer following our passion for flavor and complexity from quality ingredients and small batch artisanal brewing. We brew fun, unique beers made for enjoyment. We like it hoppy and complex, roasty and smoky, strong and sippable to sessionable and gulpable. Most importantly it’s something to drink with friends, in the backyard, at the beach and at the bar. We make beer because we like to drink it delicious and fresh and because we like to smile.

Tap at Jeffrey late night. Hazy orange yellow pour. Nose is tropical fruits light cheese. Tastes of mango, honey, resin, honey dew, other fruity candy Soft lactose. Very tasty

At the soirce: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is rich chocolate and heavy roasted malt along with thoroughly roasted coffee. Very rich and roasty stout. Not too bitter. Hefty mouthfeel. Some clinging of the sugar in the mouth.

At the source: pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is rich chocolate and fresh medium to dark roast coffee. Taste is nicely sweet. Nice and rounded. Nice.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Alon. Cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma of "green" and leafy hops. Flavor is quite dry, with bitterish fruity and slightly "green" leafy hops. Medium-bodied. A bit too "green", but pretty nice.

Thanks Paul for the can! Poured into a taster showing well filtered neon yellow with sparse white foam lacing. The nose shows lemon and light cannabis. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Moderately intense flavors of melon with a light bitterness.

The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of strong pine resin and melon. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Light minty mouthfeel.
