Illegibly-dated can, drunk 3/17/22. Fairly clear, fire truck red with some deeper garnet-cranberry tints. Thin, pink/beige head quickly fizzles out. Bright cherry, less, but still noticeable, cranberry and gentle base malt sugars give a tart, fruity, expressive and balanced nose that is free from overly punchy acids, cheap lactic character or messy/weird lactose. Soft, juicy, well-attenuated flavor shows bright cherry giving heavy fruitiness and lots of pulp/puree character. Cranberry injects stronger but still balanced acidity/tartness while base malts add honey and cracker. Very minimal lactose is great and I love that this isn't a cloudy mess of a kettle sour. Tight, clean and focused.

Canned Feb 2022, drunk 3/11/22. Hazy, pale golden. White head is substantial. Piney, peachy nose growing juicier and spicier with warming. Strong biscuit and cracker malt with some light cotton candy on the end from yeast. Soft and very attenuated in the mouth with lots of cracker showing through. Juice, pine, peach and mango alternate with a fuzzy, cotton candy-like yeast character next to light sharpness. Good but quite unpolished.

Can, from Trader Joes. Pours extremely hazy bright yellow with a foamy whitish head, unripe mango-citrus aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrus-mango-pineapple taste, somewhat thick body, long finish. Tasty and flavorful.

OK, so this can comes from fishkill? Sounds like an EPA problem to me, LOL. First off, it comes across very nicely as a wild tart beer. These domestic brews are gettin closer to the real cantillon stuff every year. Its fairly clear and pale, slight haze. Was expecting something like the rank I had 15 years ago but its actually a little more friendly and easy to get along with, considering the amount of touted hops in this stuff. Yep, not too bad after a hard days work! They got their money's worth today, maybe I should relax a little tomorrow.

Very hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall, pure white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of citrus fruits, grapefruit, flowers and a good wheatie note with a hint of flowers and some bitterness from the malts. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong crisp and very citrusey flavours with a lot of orange juice and mango notes here along with some richness from papaya or pure melons with a sweet finish that has more sugars than bitterness from alpha acids, making it purely 'new school'. Aftertaste is rich, fruity and balanced well, with a lot of malts and a crisp floral bite towards the end that brings out a good complexity, but the richer malts and especially fragrant fruit notes are the strongest here. Overall, a nice and balanced IPA that tastes a bit richer and stronger than the 6 per cent that the can indicates, but well worth it and perhaps better off than most in the style and in the family (of relatively low alcohol IPAs from Sloop). I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd Street), New York on 20-December-2021 for US$3,99, canned on 28-October-2021 (Batch #1379) sampled in my hotel room and on the streets of New York on 20-December-2021.

Can (11/12/21) pour. It's an opaque light brown-dark yellow with no sparkle, finger-width off-white head with decent retention and light lacing. Aroma is moderately strong sweet fruit with identifiable peach and some chamomile tea. Taste is strong nonspecific citrus/fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not loving this the way I've loved other Riwaka beers. But, it's not objectionable.
