Süffiger, leider auch wässriger, getreidig-hopfiger Beginn. Milde Bitterkeit, leicht grasig hopfig, selbst für 4,3% aber doch relativ schwach. Zu starke Karbonisierung, mittellanger Abgang. Naja.. 7/9/7/8/8/8

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Feb 22. Brought by me. Pours pitch black, thin tanned bubbles dissipating. Whisky barrel on the nose, soft malt. Surprisingly thin-bodied, low carbonation lots of whisky coming through just doesn't have the malt body to underpin it all. Some gluey phenols on the finish. Brewer really needs to start this one from scratch.

Bottle. Grey pale yellow, white head. Peach and melon nose, sweet apricot cake. Medium body, sticky, mineral, oxidized grain base. Pie sensibilities, a bit too muddled on the palate.

Bottle. Hazy dark golden color with white head. Aroma is citrusy, peppery, bready. Taste is bready, peppery, citrus, leafy. Smooth mouthfeel with high carbonation. Solid, but not outstanding.

Bottle. Hazy amber-golden color with foamy white head. Aroma is nice fruity hops, mild biscuity malts. Taste is mild bitterness. Oily mouthfeel with high, but soft carbonation. Nice one!

Bottle. Clear amber color with fluffy eggshell head. Aroma is buttery, flowery, some juicy fruits, toffee, shallots, just a weird combination. Taste is garlic, buttered caramel toffee. Oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. This is weird, despite it being far away from expiring.

Bottle. Slightly unclear golden color with fluffy white head. Aroma is flowery, grassy hops, earthy, great noble hop character. Taste is biscuity, cereals, some cornflakes, earthy noble hops, flowery, crisp as you would say. Oily mouthfeel with high carbonation. A bit overcarbonated, but the flavours are very nice - I take it this is 100% Tettnanger, expressing terroir. Good one, probably the best I've had from Grabhers so far.

Bottle. Aroma is glue, whisky, disinfectant, schnaps. Taste is gluey, whisky, chocolate, meh. Silky mouthfeel with low carbonation, quite dry. Meh, this isn't quite there yet.
