Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some grains, mild herbs and bready tones. Flavour is sweet grains, mild herbs and some bready tones. Nice bitter and malty tones in the finish.

Bottle courtesy of Walter and Ele (nextdoor neighbours) their nephew is the head brewer at Falter. Shared with Nick, Anna, Sarah and Charlie Sunday 5th January 2025 at home. We've got a large Chicken and Chorizo Lasagna for tea later. Pours very dark brown, practically black with a small light beige rim, there probably was a head but it rapidly disappeared. There is a little bit of bourbon on the nose and some vanilla, a tiny bit boozy but never noticed that initially. Soft mouthfeel a little bit creamy, warming and nice big maltiness. Very nice.

Kalea-Bieradventkalender Deutschland-Version 20.12.2024 Mit dem Bier konnte ich anfangs nichts anfangen, bis ich verstand, dass es sich um ein Projekt bayrischer Brauer handelt, das wie das Perlenzauber immer von anderen Brauhäusern kommt und das Thema Waldfreunde hat. Es ist ein wirklich gelungenes Dunkles 🕶️, das nicht zu pickig-süß🌳🌲, sondern fein hopfig-karamellig ist 🫓🧇, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Etwas abstruse Aufmachen, aber wirklich feines Dunkles🐈‍⬛.

As Falter Weinachts Doppelbock. Dark brown colour, small off-white head. Toasty caramalt in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel, some toastyness. Sweetish, simple Doppelbock, not very malty.

500 ml can from Kaldea. Sweet, biscuit malt, honey, some dough, light, spicy hops. Bright, clear gold with a tall head. Fruity, malty, citrus, light stone fruits, fluffy malt. Smooth, medium body, still crisp. Bitter, spicy finish.
