500ml bottle from Becketts Farm Shop. Poured a clear medium brown colour with a lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is caramel malt and yeast. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a rich, toffee caramel malt, earthy, nutty, big woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from The Cotswold Cheese Co, Stow-on-the-Wold. Pours a deep Ruby colour with a thick creamy beige head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruits, toasty bread with a hint of roasted malts and nuts. Taste is the same but with more pronounced roasty notes and nuts and some added chocolate and a touch of vanilla. Thin to medium body, low carbonation and very smooth mouthfeel. Very nice. All 3 beers i have tried from this brewery have been very good.

Bottle from The Cotswold Cheese Co, Stow-on-the-Wold. Pours a clear deep golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of caramel, biscuits and floral hops. Taste has more of the same notes with some added orange, honey and a citrus bitterness on the finish. Medium to full bodied with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Excellent full flavoured beer enjoying it.

Handpull cask at the King's Head, Leicester. Dark gold, clear with a tiny white head. Light aroma, notes of hay and buttered toast. Strong, sweet taste, with light buttery notes and herbal flavours with a bitter note in the finish. Oily body. Carbonation is soft to nil. A basic British golden buoyed up by the added ABV.

Taste has the same notes again, malty with some added dark fruits, berries and a roasty bitterness on the finish. Medium to full body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. Nice flavourful beer. Enjoyable.
