500ml bottle from Judith's School of Spirits, Stratford-upon-Avon - Dark clear chestnut body with a firm white head. Nutty nose, roast hazelnuts and treacle toffee malts in the taste. Really pretty beer, bit of an unexpected surprise really.

Large frothy off white head stayed on a pale copper coloured
body.
Sweaty malt, toffee, digestive & berry tastes with a bitter sticky cloying back.
Nice one.

500ml bottle bought at a gift shop in Burton-on-the Water, and shared with Gary. A deep mahogany coloured body under tiny off-white head, dotted spots on the glass. Smoothly roasted caramel malts on the nose. Malt-forward taste with moments of nuts, caramel, and earth, offset by a bite of dried fruits. Smoothly roasted tail, semi-sweet. Quite tasty. (Hotel room, Sheffield 28.04.2025).

Bottle from Melbicks Garden Centre, Coleshill. Clear dark gold, fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus, floral-grassy hops, touch of biscuit. Is quite a hoppy gold, floral and citric on a reasonable malt base helped by the 5.2%, crisp finish. Medium bodied, smooth. Nothing exciting but a very well crafted gold nonetheless.

Bottle from Oakes Farm shop, Balsall Common. Pours a reddish brown with moderate sized beige head, great retention. Nutty aroma with hints of dark chocolate, treacle. Taste of fruit cake, lots of dried fruits, nuts, toffee, somewhat roasty with a prominent bitter finish. Nice smooth medium body with a subtle carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle from a colleague. Clear deep gold colour lasting white head. Yes a tasty strong golden ale. Good malts and the peppery finish is excellent. I really liked it. Distinctively English.
