Description
Loch Lomond Brewery started life in our kitchen in Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.
â
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

Bottle from the LCBO. Black pour, with a large, creamy looking dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasty malts. Coffee cake, and cocoa nibs. mouth feel is creamy, and the carb is soft and satisfying. The finish is lightly bitter, loads of cocoa flavours, and a coffee, roasty finish.

Half-pint. Covering off-white head, upper part lacing on the glass, next-to-clear late straw coloured body. Quite promising aromas with traces of mid-sweet malts and citrus. Balanced malt-fruity flavours, hints of pineapple, orange, and semi sweet malts. Bittersweet finish. Soft on the swallow. Pleasing. (Liverpool, 14.02.2025)

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. Only a vague aroma â of generic citrus, pineapple and ash. In the mouth it is slightly bitter and quite juicy with floral hops, citrus and melon all featuring prominently. Hints of tangerine and biscuits come later. Bitterness lasts into the finish. This is reasonable though not wildly exciting.

After a short break at the hotel, this strong one starts off the evening session for Day 3 in Edinburgh. Traditional Scottish style, quite soft texture for its strength. Sat at the bar at the Black Cat.

My penultimate beer of my first day of a few in Edinburgh. That's beers and days! I've had a number of sessions hoppy brews today and this one was the best - very easy and pleasant textured.

I did pay cash but didn't say for the barman to keep the change. Actually the clip could be a recipe for disaster if a joke comment like this is misconstrued. The clear deeper golden hopped beer is pretty good, pretty easy in texture. Maybe somebody should get a tip.
