Loch Lomond Brewery
Microbrewery
in Alexandria,
West Dunbartonshire,
Scotland 🏴
Associated Venue: Loch Lomond Brewery Tap
Established in 2011
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

The Weka isn't a bird that will ever make big trips given it's flightless. Slightly deeper golden coloured with a steady hoppy pale ale aroma and taste at sessionable levels. A little bit of golden style in here too.

6/8/2025. Keg at GBBF 2025. Citrus, pomelo, husky fruit aroma. Quite sweet with moderate bitterness. Moderate body and a very prickly carbonation. Okay but too fizzy even for keg.

From tap at The Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Roasty with liquorice, roasted malt, some dark chocolate, alcohol, more liquorice, some coffee. Medium sweet, mild bitter. Nice, heavy, a bit too liquorice-forward for my taste.

Nose is pale malts, light nutty tones & bread citrus. Taste comprises pale malt, hops, vanilla, light peach, citrus & caramel notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. A fairly mild bitter finish.
