Description
Loch Lomond Brewery started life in our kitchen in Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

Can thanks to McCash. Pours milky yellow with a rocky white head. Aromas of orange and pineapple. Taste juicy fruits, melon and mango. Hint of spring onion. Bit boozy too. Not sure I like it.

Can from Oban Beer Seller. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred malt, umami, liquorice, espresso coffee, cacao nibs, dark chocolate and charred wood. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, burnt toast, dark roasted coffee, bitter - sweet, umami, liquorice, slightly ashy, warming booze, plenty of chocolate character, gateaux and touch of toffee with a warming, roasty finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Good classic style imperial stouts. Drinks dangerously easy.

Can from Aldi. Hazy pale golden body with a few flecks beneath a thin white head that fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of straw and lemon peel. Flavour of peach and orange pith. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. This is fine but lacking in all departments.

Taste - juicy pineapple, melon and mango. Still some grassiness lurking.
Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy texture and then a zesty finish.
Overall - great stuff!

Cask at the moon under water Watford. A clear mid gold coloured pour with a lasting speckled white head. Aroma is subdued, midget gems, mint, leafy hop,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, bready grains, vanilla, sponge cake, vague leafy hop, light spice in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, watery mellow cask condition. Very vague and forgettable.
