Loch Lomond Brewery
Microbrewery
in Alexandria,
West Dunbartonshire,
Scotland 🏴
Associated Venue: Loch Lomond Brewery Tap
Established in 2011
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

Can from Lidl. Hazy golden body with a few flecks beneath a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of flower petals, grapefruit and orange. Flavour of sweet mandarin and grass. medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. This is a soft, easy drinking pale ale. I’d have preferred a few more bittering hops in the boil.

Can from Aldi. It pours hazy pink - red with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is musty, damp grain, bright, fresh raspberry character, juicy, tart, tangy, jam and raspberry tart. The taste is crisp, dry, puckering, bright, zingy, tart red berries, fresh raspberry, juicy, slightly lactic, twist of lime, some acidity and dullest hint of alcohol. Medium body and average, prickly carbonation. Hides abv very well. Not much depth, but super easy going stuff.
