Bottle at Chriso Tasting, London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a weak, white cream head. Very basic beer. Light pale malt nose, faint straw. Light sweet flavor, some lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly dry to finish, clean, with faint grassy bitterness. Decent, just basic.

Bottle at Chriso Tasting, London. Pours auburn with a sturdy, tan foam head. Semi-dark malt nose, some leaves and berries. Basic stuff, flavor of dry toasty and leaves, some light dried fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, light sweetness, more dry fruits. OK.

50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is grassy and light citrusy. Smooth fruity, light toasted malty and light bitter. Bitter and light citrusy finish.

Bottle 500ml.[ Trade by cgarvieuk ]. Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, brown sugar, light roasted, light sweet alcohol. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, toffee - fudge sweet, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120811]

Very dark brown, thin ruby edges, thin tan head, some lacing
Aroma - Wholemeal bread, dark roasted malts, cocoa powder...I’m getting Hovis bread here (?!)
Taste - deep dark caramel malts, soft dark roast, quite chocolatey, plain chocolate, dark molasses, some dark fruits in there, touch of earthy malt, complex, nice flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium body, smooth texture. Finish of chocolate malts, soft bitter roast, smooth
Overall - Great stout with a lot of flavour, liked the unusual brown bread aroma too
