Description
Loch Lomond Brewery started life in our kitchen in Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.

A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.

Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.

Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

500ml bottle at home. Black pour, thin tan head. Kind of blackcurrant and liquorice aromas, hints of coffee and ash. Taste continues this theme, erring towards the sweet. Medium body, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation. Ends up roasted bitter. Not bad, but not great either.

500ml bottle shared with jeevan. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Cereal and malt aromas, light lemon/herbal hops if you concentrate. Taste is neither here nor there, but decent enough quaffing bitter.

Just found this old tasting note from the Stockbridge Tap a couple of months ago. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - spice & biscuits. Taste - more spicy biscuits, with resin on the finish. Palate - medium bodied, quite crunchy in texture, balanced finish. Overall - yes, enjoyed this.
