Description
Loch Lomond Brewery started life in our kitchen in Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

Cask at Three Judges, Glasgow - Deep brown to black body, thin tan head. Nose is tangy fruits, roasted malts, and a bold hoppiness. Slightly bitter at first taste, a little piney with some dark cake fruit bitterness. Well balanced with a nice solid oily mouthfeel. Very good.

On keg at Holyrood 9A. Appearance - a lovely amber to red. A decent thin lacy head. Nose - distinct but restrained Islay whisky note. Biscuits and toffee in the background. Taste - slightly overpowering smoking peat. Still toffee and sone sweetness in the background. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a finish that is interesting but that doesn’t completely refresh. Overall - needs more malt structure to take on the smoke.
