Description
We are Pomona Island. We have a passion for innovation and style. We wake up each morning and strive each day to create te finest beers on the... Nah, can you imagine if we actually spoke like that? We're just beer snobs and over-appreciators who thought we would put our (small amount of) money where our (big) mouths are.

The Brewery is Nick and Ryan, who started the Gas Lamp bar in Manchester CIty Centre (where you can always find our beers!), Gaz from Marble Brewery and James from Tempest Brewery.

The beer is all stuff we like to drink. Loads of sessionable new world hoppy pales, more traditional stouts and porters. Big Juicy IPAs, and some fun experimental stuff to keep us and you interested.

Actor Edward Fox famously played 'The Jackal' on screen. This maple heavy stout is incredibly rich for it, but excellent for it too. Probably not one you could have too much of, but definitely one to experience. Sticky-sweet texture.

Dedication beer to Italo Svevo, Italian author died on this day in 1928 - I don't think about him at all. Hazy golden, towards juice appearance and taste in its citrus, which lingers spice-like in the palate. Aroma bland, citrus on the blander side too.

Street-wise, a 100,000 took to them today in the UK capital for a 'Unite The Kingdom' rally. Very hazy golden colour, towards juicy with a tropical citrus taste and a lower end citric bitterness, allowing some sweetness through.

Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream famously has a love potion. This very hazy golden, almost juice appearance potion made me love beer a little bit more! Has a heavy tropical fruit with sweet pineapple aroma, although a slightly subduing watery texture leaves a more bland citrus taste.

First post holiday beer to help get back into this usual routine. A lovely west coast style crisp hoppy brew with a slight dryness and some fruity-sugars in taste.

Lighter golden juicy appearance. Tropical-sour nose, but its apple dominates taste before the sourness and some very bready notes kick in. 'The Uncanny' is also a Peter Cushing feline horror movie - his subsequent role after filming Star Wars.

Simple and a little rough around the edges but drinks alright enough. Some sun-kissed pale grains, bread crust, hay, cereal.

10th September 2025
Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, a thin creamy sweetness. Crisp cooling pine. Perfumey candy fruits, a little Parma Violets! Some hint of bitterish citrus and hop spice on the crispy finish. Okay, bit left field.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and vine tomatoes. Flavour of honey and melon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A tasty IPA.

Cask by stillage at One Inn The Wood, Petts Wood on 5th September 2025. Just the orange side of amber with shallow film and scant lacing. Malty aroma with tangy fruits. Citrusy in-mouth with mild juice and zesty peel, both of which go on to dominate the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium body.
