Description
We are Pomona Island. We have a passion for innovation and style. We wake up each morning and strive each day to create te finest beers on the... Nah, can you imagine if we actually spoke like that? We're just beer snobs and over-appreciators who thought we would put our (small amount of) money where our (big) mouths are.

The Brewery is Nick and Ryan, who started the Gas Lamp bar in Manchester CIty Centre (where you can always find our beers!), Gaz from Marble Brewery and James from Tempest Brewery.

The beer is all stuff we like to drink. Loads of sessionable new world hoppy pales, more traditional stouts and porters. Big Juicy IPAs, and some fun experimental stuff to keep us and you interested.

Can. Pours slightly hazy darkish straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with touches of spruce and malt. Bitter, hoppy and piney flavour with notes of citrus and sweetish touches of malt, fruit and yeast. Bitter and citric aftertaste with fruity touches. A nice one.

Can, 7.1%. Good fruity and juicy aroma with notes of grapefruit. Hazy dark golden colour. Fizzy and unstable white head. The flavour starts off surprisingly bitter with notes of grapefruit. Also a little sweeter than expected with some acid to balance. Rather in-your-face, but clean and nicely flavourful.

Garçon DOES mean boy, only in modern parlance does it mean waiter. A hazy paler golden coloured and noticeably carbonated brew. It has initial tropical tasting American hops, which relent to produce a full-on pine aftertaste that lingers with a small dryness.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 15/01/2026.
Deep golden amber topped with a good sized light egg shell white head.
Nose is caramel malts, grass, citric tinged straw, orange peel, hint of bubblegum.
Taste comprises caramel, biscuit, candied orange peel, citric tinged straw, light pine nip
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with grassy hop bitterness.
It's fine ... in an old skool way ... would I revisit ...probs not.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Slightly thin palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin malt mouthfeel, sweet enough, a little too sweet for me. Cooling pine into perfumey candy fruits. Touch of Nelson, if you are looking for it. Soft and somewhat ripe citrus. Smooth finish. Overall too sweet in my book.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, a modest creamy sweetness. Sabro coconut and mildly ripe pineapple dominate the hops. Cooling pine of course. Mild citrus, reasonably bright but fairly watery. A light finish. Nicely Sabro but a bit thin and watery overall.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Just a light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth pale malts, a forward creamy sweetness. Good cooling pine. Big candy fruits, getting a little perfumey. Mild stone fruits. Light and semi dry finish. Sweet but drinkable.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A pretty modest haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft smooth pale malts, a light but forward creamy sweetness. Dominant modern Mosaic candy fruits, sweet and a little juicy. Strata provides a mild fruity back drop. Light semi dry finish. Quite the candy job but goes down well
