Description
We are Pomona Island. We have a passion for innovation and style. We wake up each morning and strive each day to create te finest beers on the... Nah, can you imagine if we actually spoke like that? We're just beer snobs and over-appreciators who thought we would put our (small amount of) money where our (big) mouths are.

The Brewery is Nick and Ryan, who started the Gas Lamp bar in Manchester CIty Centre (where you can always find our beers!), Gaz from Marble Brewery and James from Tempest Brewery.

The beer is all stuff we like to drink. Loads of sessionable new world hoppy pales, more traditional stouts and porters. Big Juicy IPAs, and some fun experimental stuff to keep us and you interested.

Watching the original Magnum series as a youngster not really knowing much about Hawaii I knew it was America, but couldn't pinpoint why it didn't look like the America I knew from other programmes. Mid sourness fruit brew, allowing enough of the tropical flavours through, but still with a subduing effect, it's flavoursome though. It's also quite dry, which becomes more stated in its aftertaste.

John is my postman who I often chat to at the bar of our various locals when we encounter each other. He'd like this hazy pale yellow-gold pale with plenty of citrus, creating a fair citric bitterness for the brew.

The name of this beer reminds me of Gary Birtles - basically now a name for any prolific striker that stops scoring after moving to Manchester United. The 'Good' part of this beer could easily be replaced by 'OK' as it's bland mildly sugary beer in the west coast style. Easy enough cask texture.

My last comprehension moment was with a Frenchman who came out of his house to tell me the bus I was waiting for only ran on Sundays. We worked it out despite the language problems. The beer has a juice yellow-gold appearance, although is certainly more bitter than juicy, with its high citrus content creating a beer that edges towards sourness without it being a sour! Fruitiest in aroma.

Six Black Horses is a watchable Hollywood western made during the height of the genre. This is a drinkable western style American ale, slightly dryish, more sugary than fruity. drinkable texture, lots of body.

The title of this beer could easily be describing the football clubs in several English cities. There's actually quite a bit of purple in the beer's appearance and plenty of red-berry style notes, in what is quite a high-level sourness brew.
