Founded in Summer 2018, Overtone Brewing Co. are progressively making a difference in the Scottish Craft beer scene and are being recognised globally, now exporting to 12 markets around the world.
Our adventure started with Bowei Wang, who's passion and hobby of home brewing led to the determination of owning his own brewery. He knows the influence great craft beer has when shared with friends, and that's exactly what we want Overtone to be.

440ml can from Good Spirits Co. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Tangerine and cereal aroma, flavour is orange all the way, with some spice in the finish

Can from bottle grove in eastbourne. Deep aroma of smoke and chocco. Nice look. Taste is decent but remains nondescript.

Tried on tap at the Strait and Narrow Lincoln. Hazy rich golden colour with a white head. Aroma is mango and tropical. Taste light sweet juicy and slight bitter finish. Medium to full creamy body.

Can. Freebie from Beer Ritz, albeit after spending a shit ton on Mills. Hazed gold. Thin foam of super leggy, white head. Nose has ripe peach. Peach stone esters. Some pine and soggy citrus. Sweet grain. Taste is pretty sweet, with a light, citrus bitterness. Medium body. Nicely oily. Fine carbonation. Lingering citrus bitterness to finish. Nice one.

Can. Hazy orange beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and has a good fine minerally crispness. Decent malts, perhaps a tad thin but with a decent creamy sweetness. Nice to see someone showcasing Denali in a DIPA. Hats off! Denali here is ripe fruits with a savoury edge. Rich ripe citrus. Touch of ripe tropical fruits. Some pine. Sadly, none of that pineapple hit that was evident when Denali first hit the scene. Still this is a nice beer, rich citrus and pretty quaffable and savoury.

The pilsner malts bring a modest lager vibe on to which is a slightly more bitter than usual grape tone. Light champagne and a mellow floral hop. Trace of citrus before a slightly soft finish. Nice job. Of course at 8.0% this should be a DIPA Brut but the latest round of amateur hour style changes can’t account for such a thing.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with frantic bubbles and a generous fluffy head. Nose - bread, candied lemon and white pepper. The honey is there but it's not overpowering, quite subtle in fact. Taste - sourdough, plus more candied citrus and white pepper. Palate - light to medium bodied. Dry through middle and finish. Good texture. Overall - I'm wondering if the honey has fermented out as this is bone dry. I like it.
