Description
Pössneck is a city with a rich brewing tradition. In the 16th century, the beer was exported to cities such as Weimar. The brewery 'bei der Rosenmühle' was built between 1863 and 1866. In 1895 Richard Wagner became the full owner of the brewery. The Wagner family ran the brewery until 1950 when it was nationalized.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the great-grandson Nikolaus Wagner of the founder Richard Wagner was able to take over the Pößneck brewery again as manager and continue the family tradition, which has now lasted 130 years.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, reddish orangey with a small, fizzy off-white head. Fresh orange and grapefruit aroma. Light body, sweet red grapefruit and orange notes with a slight tartness. Nice soda pop. 091123

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a roughish, small white head. Spicy hop aroma. Light body, a very dry maltiness with a solid, finishing bitterness. Aroma wise the American hops don't really shine, but they certainly add a cerain spiciness and a good hop bite to a very light beer. 101023

330 ml bottle, very nice bottle design! Clear golden with a foamy head. Grain, hay, bread, grassy metallic hops with some citrus, egg yolk, cardboard. Malty bready sweetness with some shy hoppy metallic bitterness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, mild dull bitter malty finish. Your almost average German Pils.
