Bottle picked up from the Ottakringer brewery shop yesterday. Had this Sunday 24th May 2026. Had this sat at the top of the garden on a glorious day. The beer is pretty good okay the oak aged version yesterday beats this hands down but this still gets things right, it's another authentic take on a Flanders Red, sweet tanginess, nicely tart, pours a dirty reddish brown with a fast disappearing head. Tart berries, dry finish, good. Score: 7.0

Bottle at the Ottakringer brewery shop, there's a drinking in area where you can try any of the beers available. Had this Saturday 23rd May 2026 after a short walk from the tram stop Ottakringer, however there's a tram stop much closer, we just decided to walk. Pours hazy orange with a mid sized white head. Fresh nose. a little tropical, , nice mouthfeel, good spritzy carbonation. This is a decent session IPA but as one might expect it's a bit thin. Score 6.8

Had this Saturday 23rd May 2026 after a short walk from the tram stop Ottakringer, however there's a tram stop much closer, we just decided to walk. Pours light gold, almost perfectly clear with a white head. Citrus on the nose and also in the mouth there's a light but building bitterness. A touch dry at the end, I like the bitterness, it's a good beer. Score 7.3

Had this Saturday 23rd May 2026 after a short walk from the tram stop Ottakringer, however there's a tram stop much closer, we just decided to walk. Pours clear amber with a white head. Nice mouthfeel, soft a touch heavy, plenty of hops but a huge sweet maltiness. It's just a bit unbalanced, the big, sweet maltiness is a bit too dominant, however I'm not being to hard on it, it's still reasonably decent. Score: 7.0

This was a gusher, the guy who served it was nice enough but absolutely clueless at pouring he walked off to get something to wipe it up rather than pour it, so it continued slowly gushing out whilst he had glasses just in front of him 🤣. Anyway the beer is really good, a very authentic take on a Flanders Red, tangy, tart, happy and with the oak ageing showing well, great carbonation 🤣. Really gives the tongue and taste buds a workout, I really like this. Score: 7.9

Pours hazy brass body with thin layer on top, leaving some lacing along the rim of the glass and patchwork on top. Pleasant, tropical fruits, lingering and almost perfectly carbonated.

Taster from bottle at ABC Awards, Ried im Innkreis. Amber hazy color, small white head. Smells pines, Marzipan, earthy, spices. Nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes pines, Marzipan, spices, tobacco. Finishes light to medium sweet with notes of tobacco, spices and pines. Good one, rather malty, more like a barley wine
