[ As Isarkindl Ein Schmankerl ].Clear medium amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, pale malt, cardboard notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160924] 5-3-5-3-11

Tap. Murky amber color with white head. Aroma is tart fruits, a bit rotten berries, caramel, bready. Taste is caramel, bready, tart fruits, yeastcake. Mineraly finish, chalky mouthfeel. Not sure if this is intended.

Bottle. Clear copper-golden color with white head. Aroma is hopspice, earthy, pale malts, honey, melon. Taste is the same. Medium carbonation. Not bad, a bit better than the Schmankerl, but it’s a bit boring.

Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is lemonade, surprisingly natural in its lemon character, but also sweet. Taste is the same, lots of natural lemonade, but with sugar. Mouthfeel is silky. Too sweet, although the lemonade they used is quite okay.

bottle, thanks to pivnizub! Amber with a tall off-white head. Malty with some caramel, toasetd malts and a touch of chocolate. Very diluted overall impression. The flavours are pleasant, but it seems very, very watery and thin.

Pours copper from the bottle with a frothy, tan head. Aroma is lots of caramel, a bit of toffee. Taste is sweet, lots of caramel and toffee, hints of tea. No real bitterness at all. Body is light, creamy smooth, with light watery notes in places. A bit of a malt bomb. Okay.

Fläschla: Copper coloured, unclear, small and stable off-white foamy layer; dryish nose of toastec and dark malt with a tinge of cooked vegetables; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, barely medium bodied; slightly lingering toasty-bitter finish. A nice euphemism, this name "Schmankerl". You just get a very, very unspectacular Bier...
