Klares bernsteinfarbenes Kellerbier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, würzig, hopfig, Karamell. Geschmack sehr malzig, würzig hopfig, Karamell, leicht süß.

On tap at the brewpub. Sehr trübes dunkelgoldenes Bier mit einer schönen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig hopfig, kräftig malzig. Geschmack sehr hopfig, viel Citrus, grasig, bitter.

Bottle 750ml. corked @ Radom Brauhause - cafe at Nürnberg Burg Mauer [ As Nikl Selection - The Village Bock ].ABV: 10.7%. Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavyy caramel, dried fruit, barley wine - bock alike, prunes, date, smoke, wood, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, smoked, wood, alcohol, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. Bottle @ benzai. Clear orange colour with no head. Smells malts, dead pilsner, grains. Tastes malts, lots of grains. Thin to medium body, nice carbo.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Niels. Clear rusty dark golden orange color, very small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, grains. Taste malts, grains, straw, lightly bitter. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle [thanks to bierkoning] @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized dense white head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, some grains, crisp and hay with a nice bitterness. Decent body and carbonation. A nice clean and crisp helles.

Sampled at Fränkisches Bierfest 2014. Light vegetal minerally aroma. Cloudy yellow, white head Mellow fruity, light phenolic , weed notes. Medium mellow body. Fermented fruit finish yet drinkable.

Tap(@Nikl, Pretzfeld):Deep golden to light amber coloured, hazy, creamy and rocky off-white head; sweetish fruity (raspberries and bubblegum!) and mild smoky nose; light to moderate sweetish flavour with a very delicate bitterness, barely medium bodied and a bit sticky; just a tinge of smoke in the slightly lingerng - and a bit drier - bitter-sweet finish. O.K., but really not earth-shaking…
