Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Oh wow, the sheer amount of chocolate in the aroma... Right up my alley. Also picking up plenty of hazelnut, mocha, coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, and roast. Bittersweet flavour with a full creamy body. Liquid hazelnut chocolate treat, damn what a lovely flavoured Stout!

Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is roasted malt with tonka beans, cocoa nibs, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, chocolate syrup. Flavour is sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness. Full body. Tonka and chocolate dominate, tasty dessert.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Oh yeah... Aroma is salty caramel with dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, peanuts, chocolate cake, espresso, mocha, some fudge, and a touch of vanilla. Sweet with a fine roasty bitterness, thick and full body. Heavy but not very boozy. Love it!

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. 2020 vintage. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, espresso, mocha, chalky notes, coffee beans, hint of fruits and bourbon-impregnated oak. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a nice roasty bitterness. Full body. Rich and very tasty, loads of chocolate and coffee, great brew.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is caramel malt, toffee, roast, butterscotch, burnt sugar, chocolate, notes of ripe fruits candy sugar, some alcohol. Sweet flavour with a moderate but noticeable bitterness. Body is full, bit sticky texture. Such a lavish Barley Wine, great!

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. At 11.2% abv. Aroma is caramel, milk chocolate, roasted malt, mocha, fudge, toffee, vanilla, coffee. Flavour is sweet with a good roasty bitterness. Full body, bit sticky. Another amazingly rich Nerdbrewing beer. Jesus barrel-aged Christ, these guys have been impressing the hell out of me recently. Would ❤ to find out how they handle 'lighter' styles (IPA, Saison, etc.). This stuff brings a tear to my eye.

Bottle from Mr. Hop. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, vanilla, fudge, chocolate candy bar, mocha. Flavour is sweet with a pretty firm bitterness. Silky and smooth, full body. Nerdbrewing couldn't disappoint me if they tried.

Bottle from Mr. Hop. Aroma is roasted malt with wood, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, hint of dried fruits and liquorice. Flavour is sweet with a firm roasty bitterness. Full body. Bittersweet and fairly smooth with lots of wood upfront, roast and chocolate. More Nerdbrewing goodness.

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is roasted malt with cocoa, chocolate, mocha, some coffee, milk chocolate, caramel. Subtle vanilla. Flavour is sweet with a bittersweet finish. Body is full, smooth, velvety. Great. Can Nerdbrewing do no wrong?

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, mocha, wood, some smoke and liquorice, a little spiciness from the wood. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter with a full body. Well-rounded Imperial Stout, the wood adds a welcome dimension.
