Can from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Thick maple with roasted malt, caramel, toffee, burnt sugar, fudge, chocolate. Sweet flavour, light bitter, a little booze. Full body. Sticky maple.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pours reveals a deep black body with a bare naked surface, and shattered lacing on the glassware- Smooth chocolate aromas, gently roasted, mid-sweet, inviting. Vanilla chocolate flavours alright added by fudge. Lingering, very smoothly roasted ending, warming and semi sweet Muddy last pour. Slow, Sunday sipper qualities. (Tromsø, 19.04.2026)

Aus der Flasche (bbe 01.07.2028) im 2026-04 getrunken. Es ist wieder überraschend wie gut Nerdbrewing bei ihren Stouts diese fast ölige Viskosität hinbekommen, wodurch die Aromen fast ewig am Gaumen kleben. Hier bei dem sind es kräftige dunkle Schokolade, dann ist da eine fruchtige Säure die mich eher an ein Robusta-Säure erinnert als eine Beerensäure. Aber auch der Zimt kommt nicht deutlich durch - da ist ein Gewürz aber nicht als Zimt klar erkennbar. Der Honig udn Vanille runden eher die Röstbitterkeit wunderbar ab. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden und hier merkt man das Nerdbrewing weiß wie man solche Biere braut. Ein wunderbares Stout!

Bottle at home, shared with James, 15th March 2026. Pours thick and black, aroma is dark chocolate, coffee, barrel, liquorice and whiskey. Taste is full, well blended barrel, whiskey, wood and roasted malts. Never too sweet, lovely

Taste comprises chocolate, spice, raisins, dark malts, fruit cake mix, toffee, toasted brown sugar, reassuring bourbon shmack.
Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid sipper.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 01.06.2027) im 2026-02 getrunken. Dieses schwarze Stout mit dunkelbrauner Schaumkrone ist ein wahres Schokoladen-Monster. Der kräftige Körper und ein feine Süße unterstützt die 60%ige Schokoladen Aromen. Alles wie auch der eingebundene Alkoholgehalt ist einfach perfekte Handwerkskunst. Toll!
