Medium brown. No head. Smells like it's going to be thin, and a bit boozy, with light caramel. On the palate is a ton of caramel, good bitterness, it's not bad. The caramel is more artificial than I prefer, which detracts from the overall presentation. It's not awful but is leaving some quality on the table.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma has a ton of caramel and lactose, with a touch of roasted peanuts – dominated by caramel. Flavour is dominated by caramel, with plenty of lactose, and a touch of peanuts. Not much complexity here – just a lot of caramel and sugars. Simple sugary impie.

On tap. Pours black with very slight tan head. Aromas of coconut, molasses, vanilla, black sour coffee, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on strong almost sour coffee and green coconut. Tasty but way off balance. Cant drink too much…

Pouring viscously black motor oil, sorry, beer. Utterly headless. -2 points for the d*mn*d hard wax. Cold coffee, waterplants, dark green leaves, bit earthy. Sweet if intense roast, black & sweet chocolated, fusels, booze. Again black coffee with some sugar. Full bodied, utterly oily, undercarbonated, alcoholheat. Creamy feel, immediately linked to the lactose. Quite good one. The story behind Nerdbrewing/South Plains/Molecule/Lilla remains a real taxation quagmire, no? Who's who?

Bottle at home picked up from HOTM probably. A thicc dark brown coloured pour with a whispy dark tan head. Aroma is rich dark dried fruits, treacle, condensed fruit cake, dried apple, spicy dark chocolate. (Bottle, vintage 2018) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of chocolate pralines, oak wood, coffee, vanilla, nuts, burnt sugar, liquorice and dark bread. Malty, roasted, sweetish taste with dark chocolate, coffee, roasted nuts, muscovado sugar, dark bread, vanilla, oak wood and a generous cacao bitterness in a warming finish. Almost full body, slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite sweet. Rich, warming and quite well balanced for its strength. Very nice.
