330ml bottle. Pours black with a small beige head that disappears quickly. Aromas & tastes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, hints of orange, vanilla & roasted malt. Medium body. Warm finish.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. (Mole edition, 2020). Thick oily pour creating a pitch black body with bare naked head, and poor lacing. Rich aromas of smoothly roasted black malts, black chocolate to it, attractive. Powerful flavours of black chocolate, oaky vanilla, ash, and liqorice, and joined by slightly spiced black berries. Long-lived malt driven finish, warming and smoothly roasted. Enjoyed for an hour or so on a lazy Sunday afternoon. (Tromsø, 24.08.2025).

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is full of peat, tons of tart dark fruits, and some roast. Flavour is intense, with big peat, charred notes, light smoke, big roast, and plenty of dark dried fruits. Remarkably smooth for a near-17% beer. There’s nice peated notes. The palate is oily, quite viscous, and very fruity. A bit too viscous and rough but it has some nice complexity to it.

330mL bottle. Pours deep dark brown with a very small tan head. Roasted malts, dark sugars, and a nice touch of peat on the nose. Flavour has bready malts, some crusts, dark sugars, and a peaty finish. More peat as it warms up. I'm a fan.
