0,33l flip top bottle at home, bought yesterday from Markt am Domplatz, St. Pölten. BB 05/2021. almost black color, small tan head. smells earthy, spices, bit smoky, leathery, light caramel, nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes earthy, peppery, leathery, spices, hints of caramel, toffee, hints of smoke, some corn sirup, bit herbal. finishes bit dry and light to medium bitter with notes of spices, subtle smoke and earthy notes. pretty decent one, rather on the bitter side, does not taste that fresh anymore, finishes is a bit harsh bitter and flavours rather trail away, but overall still quite drinkable.

BB 07/2019. amber cloudy color, small white head. smells earthy, ripe fruits, bit sourish, marzipan, nutty, citric, peppery. decent smell overall. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes peppery, spices, earthy, lightly acidic, ripe fruits, marzipan, nutty, light caramel. finishes dry and light to medium bitter with notes of marzipan, caramel and some ripe fruits. was quite drinkable once it was cold, gets a weird (and strong) kinda of yeasty / peppery note once it warms up.

Bottled, at TEJA tasting. Dark brown, mid sized head. Aroma of licorice and coffee, a touch of lemon. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and licorice. Rich and soft. Low bitterness.

RB backlog. Coffee, ham crust, sweetish dark chocolate. Mild, medium sweet start, then minerals take over, sort of umami, dries up. Bit stale.

BB 28.01.2019. orange lightly hazy color, very small white head. smells of ripe fruits, nutty, bit boozy, light blood sausage, light marzipan. ok smell, bit weird. full body, almost pearly carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ripe fruits, light sweetness, nutty, marzipan, spices, peppery. finishes lightly sweet with notes of ripe fruits, light nuts and some spices. Looks like a filtered Kristallweizen(bock) and also definitly tastes like one, not bad but also not super exciting, a bit on the heavy side. Drinkable but definitly not a favorite.
