28-01-21 // 500ml bottle. Pours clear dark amber mahagony. Small beige lacing. Aroma of light nutty caramel malts. Mild melon hop aromas. A little roast. Tadte is lighter to medium sweet. It’s alright. Low to medium bitter. Sort of an hoppy Franconian Dunkel / Brown Ale / Altbier hybrid. Wouldnt go straight with Altbier.

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy malty, minimally fruity hoppy and very weak, smoky aroma, hints of apricot and peach. Taste is mildly smoky, slightly fruity hoppy and minimally sweet, grainy, pale malty, a touch of ham, smoked / grilled vegetables, a touch of apricot and peach, a cautious muesli touch. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Very cautious smoky flavours, nice but as well cautious fruitiness, mild, balanced - nice.

€-Fläschla: Pale golden, dishwater-like hazy, no head to speak of, mild to - hardly - moderate grainy-fruity nose with a rural hoppy background and a very, very, very delicate illusion of woodfire-smoke; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with the desired franconian silkiness; mildly lingering grainy-malty finish with a delicate rural bitterness and a pinch of smoke in the aftertaste. Good franconian Rauchbier for those, who do not like Rauchbier at all...

BroBier Fränkisches Rotbier, Flasche von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Dunkelrotbraun, fast klar. (20.11.2020.)

€-Fläschla: Deep golden, hazy, bigger and quite stable creamy white head, mild exotic fruits and grapefruity spots in the sweet-bitter grainy-malty nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, very smooth, nearly medium bodied; mild - but lingering - bitter-sweet finish with returning grapefruity and - very shy - piney flavours. Not an aroma-bomb, but a solid franconian (what else?) Bier...

Auburn with a fading, frothy head. Aroma of mineral water, caramel, cranberries, yeasty white bread. Taste is mildly sweet up front, turning dry and modestly crisp at the finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, smooth. Okay.

Fläschla: Pale golden, unclear, no head to speak of, moderate dryish bitter-sweet nose with a herbal-tannic background and very delicate traces of pale malt; moderate bitter-sweet flavour with a rural twist, light bodied and both soft and crisp; soft, crunchy and lingering woody-herbal and pale malty finish. Good franconian one...
