Gold colour and bright. Herbal aroma with lots of pale malt breadiness. Clean with lots of bread. Off-dry finish, quite enjoyable. Goes down easy.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy mahogany colour, creamy head. Roasty malt aroma. Medium dry with soft grainy bready malt, notes of chocolate that slowly slides over into pleasant bitterness. An attractive soft and well balanced dunkel.

Bottled@OPP (BB 12/2007)
Very dark ruby-brown color, good creamy beige head, lace. Strong burned malty aroma. Burned malty dark chocolaty flavor. Hops arise in the finish. Toasted malty aftertaste. Well-brewed dunkel, heavier than its Czech equivalents.

On tap at the Roppelt-Keller: Small creamy head; grainy-hoppy nose; solid sweetish-bitter flavour, soft MF, low carbonation; soft, lingering malty-hoppy finish. A fine stuff...
