Bottle from Jonas consumed while watching John Wick Chapter 2. Thanks Jonas and Keanu! Nice medium crystal brown with a moderate head. Rounded malty nose with caramel candy notes like molasses Christmas cookies. Super cara roasted flavor, very sweet on the tongue like dark rock candy, very nice dessert Bock - and only 6% with this big body. Clean with just a hint of earthy hops at the end.

Cheers to Jonas for passing this on. Had this Thursday 25th February 2021, listening Tom Robinson sitting in for Marc Riley on 6Music, we had a Spaghetti Bolognese. Pours deep, dark chestnut brown with a white/off white head. Aroma of caramel, burnt sugar, sultanas and a little cocoa powder. Taste following a similar trajectory, clean very well defined beer, nice fruitiness, pleasant caramel flavours, soft carbonation, light bitterness. Very good. Rushed it a little as I have BeerwithNat tonight.

Flascherl (aus Garching!!!): Dark ruby-amber coloured, clear, smaller head, rich aroma presenting the different shades of sugar: fruity sugar, sugary sugar, burnt sugar, caramelly sugar and dark-caramelly sugar; medium to full bodied, creamy MF, robust sweet and mildly bitter flavour; lingering sweet - as expected - finish, showcasing the same flavours as above, with a mild, but nevertheless roasty bitterness in the aftertaste. Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Had this during Beer School with Natalya Watson, Thursday 12th February 2021, we had pizza for tea from Trattoria Giuseppe in the village. Pours dark gold, edging towards amber, good clarity, slight chill haze perhaps. Light caramel, digestive biscuit and subtle fruit in the mouth and on the nose, well balanced Festbier, pleasant maltiness throughout. Very nice. Appears nailed on for the style.

Bottle. Beautiful clear deep ruby-brown color with dense eggshell head. Aroma is chocolate, raisins, mild roast, caramel and other complex sugars, blackbread crust. Taste is milk chocolate, raisins, molasses and a decent bitterness for balance. Soft mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Very well-done and drinkable!

Bottle. Clear deep golden-amber color with fluffy eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, honeycomb, all the proper Festbier aromas. Taste is caramel, honeycomb again, not too sweet, classic mild sulphury Festbier flavours. Moreish and chewy, low and natural carbonation. Wow, well-made!

Dark amber, low offwhite head. Bisquitty malt, bitter herbal hops, Medium full, dry chewy caramel body, crisp bitter hops, herbal spices in the finish. Good Fall/Winter brew.

Bottle. Clear brown with a ruby shine, tanned brown cream. Nice deep plum, sugar and roast aroma. Medium to full creamy chewy body. Pleasant broad roast notes, fitting sweetness from complex sugars, fruity juicy notes, fine bitter backstop, roast caramel and light smoke retronasal . Not overwrought and overly intense, but satisfying and moreish.

Hazy yellowish. Aroma is earthy grassy hops, slight grapes, much grains, a bit dusty. Taste is yeast forward spicyness with unripe banana, a bit metallic on the tongue. Not very balanced. Meh.
