Description
The brewery is located in Malý Rohozec, near Turnov, less than a hundred kilometers northeast of Prague. This resulted in bankruptcy in 2002, the brewery was very outdated and the debt burden very high and yet it was taken over. Muffig hopfiger Antrunk, etwas säuerlich werdend, etwas malzig. Test vom 17.3.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,6,5,7,7,6 - 6,35

Bottled. Clear deep golden colour with mediumsized white head, which leaves nice lace. Aroma is butterscotch, grass, some hay along with some mild herbal tones. Flavour is bigtime grass, herbs lurking in the background along with sweet malts and some earthy hops.

bottle from Pivní Galerie. Dark brwon colour, clear, large beige head. Sweet and malty nose. Full-bodied, sweet and malty with hints of caramel, toffee and roasted malt; tiny touch of fruit. The finish is rather hoppy which makes an interesting contrast to the malty start.

The bottle looks not bad, but that’s a matter of taste. In the glass a little bit turbid. Flavor spicy, finish a little bit sourish. Good beer.

Bitteres Pils! Test vom 24.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,8,9,10,8 - 8,45

bottle, thank you pivnizub and Oetti. Dark golden yellow, nearly amber coloured. Large and very persistent creamy white head. Malty aroma. Full-bodied, malty and hoppy flavour, bitter-sweet caharcter, slightly fruity as well. Typical Czech 12° - I love it.
