Dunkler, cremig malziger Beginn. Angenehm hopfig, was aber weitestgehend im Hintergrund bleibt. Weich bleibend, moderat bitter, die Hopfigkeit steigt an. Vollmundig, langer bitter hopfiger Nachhall, bei dem die Espresso Aromen im Hintergrund sind. 13/12/12/12//12

330ml bottle. Murky, dark brown colour with small, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly papery, herbal and fruity aroma, notes of dried fruit, raisin, plum, fig, spicy hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, a touch of vanilla, some pumpernickel in the background, a good deal of alcohol, maybe some lovage, Averna-like cordial resemblance. Taste is moderately sweet, fruity, notes of blackberry and dried fruit, plum, raisin, fig, hints of treacle, liquorice, vanilla, toffee, pumpernickel, some warming alcohol in the finish; full body, oily texture, soft, minimally sticky palate. More than reasonable complexity.

25cl bottle. Pours dark reddish brown colour with a mid-sized good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, riped dark fruits, wood, alcohol. Taste of strong dark malt, riped fruits, caramel, wood, some vanilla, warm alcoholic finish.

33cl bottle. Pours hazy orange brown colour with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of infected malt, dried fruits. Taste of sour malt, dark malt, some caramel, infected!

33cl bottle from Getränke Heinrich! Pours clear dark amber colour with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, spices, toasted malt and soft tart fruits. Taste of mild tart fruits, metallic hops, some cinnanon, nothing special.

Shared bottle at home. Pours reddish brown with big beige head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, smoke, dark bread, alcohol, boiled vegetables, chocolate. Taste sweet, balanced with a lot of bitterness. Bitter finish. Medium bodied, high carbonation.

Süß malziger Beginn, dunkel, etwas brotig. Leichte Zuckernoten, malzig röstig bleibend. Ab dem Mittelteil alkoholisch werdend, dann etwas herb. Schokoladig, die Süße nimmt schnell ab. Vollmundig. 9/11/12/12/11/12

Bottle at home. Pours deep amber with off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, oranges, passion fruits, effervescent powder. Rates slightly sweet but well balanced, some fruity sourness. Some bitter finish. Not bad, but rather an APA than an IPA.

Dunkel malziger Antrunk, der durch hopfige Noten ziemlich frisch wirkt. Weich, etwas schokoladig, süffig. Geringe Karbonisierung, mild bitterhopfig. Langer Nachhall, der vom Malz dominiert würd, der Hopfen holt aber deutlich auf. 12/11/11/10/12/11
