Description
At Ebeltoft Gårdbryggeri they produce craft beer and fruity sodas. The point of everything the brewery produce has always been to create great taste and interesting flavours using whatever is necessary to achieve these goals.
A big part of what they do is experimenting. The brewery are constantly engaged with trying out new flavours and creating new tastes for future products. Before being launched, all of their products have been through a testing period where they refine the taste and flavour, making sure that everything is just right.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It’s a clear, copper colored beer topped by a minimal sized beige head. Fruity, slightly milky aroma with some orange peel. Low on the hoppy aromas. The flavor is sweet and bitter, with some caramel. Orange peel too. The finish is bitter. Full body. A drinkable beer indeed, but an IIPA needs American hops giving lots of citrusy, resiny flavors, not an English hop in what seems to be small quantities. 100331

Bottle 330ml. @ home.[ Trade by Papsoe ]. Initial sparkling, clear medium yellow color with a large to huge, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting - diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, cereal, toasted, dusty, moderate hoppy, fruity, leather. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, barnyard - leather notes, hay. A bit funky like some of the beers from Italy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100727]

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A hazy, golden to copper beer wtih an inch of lasting dense, off-white head. The aroma has a nice hop profile, citrus peel and resin, with caramel maltyness in the background. A bit sweet flavor, some caramel and a nice bitterness. Citrusy and resiny hops. Good bitterness in the finish. Medium to full body. Especially the aroma is nice in this one, a fine brew indeed, even though it’s a bit on the sweet side. 100104

Bottle, #67, from trade with Papsoe. A slighlty hazy beer, golden in color, and with a lasting, dense, inch deep off-white head. Fruity nose with banana, caramel hints, some resins and an almost sickingly touch of sugary sweetness. The flavor has a good bitterness, citrusy and resiny with a hint of caramel, but overall too sweet. Bitter finish and medium to full body. I like the bitterness in this one, else it’s a mediocre beer. 100104

Bottle, #72. From trade with Papsoe. A gusher, but rescued all the beer. Almost clear in the glass, sparkling, and topped by a dense one-inch off-white head soon diminishing into a layer of bubbles. The aroma has a little acidic touch, with grapefruit and a generic citrusy scent. Quite pleasant but a bit one dimensional. The flavor has a malty sweetness as a foundation for the citrusy hops. A bit low on bittering hops I think, especially initially. Medium body. A refreshing and decent beer, pity the aroma is the best part. 100104
