500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Brown sugar, honey and some fruity and slightly nutty and biscuity notes in the aroma. Apricot, caramel, nuts, blackcurrant and a fairly grassy and relatively dry finish. Interesting blend of flavours and very enjoyable.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Very fruity aroma. A mix of white wine and lemons. Taste is bitter the whole way through. Dry, crisp finish with lingering fruity notes. Medium-bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Goes down like 1/3 IPA and 2/3 Zwickl. Nice.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma has whiffs of butter, yeasty white bread, cereals. Bottle about a month away from expiration so perhaps the hoppy freshness has lost its edge. Taste is mildly grainy bitter on a fairly light body. Has an understated delicate feel that I like—avoids the harsh metallic notes of many beers of the style, but then fails to deliver much in alternative at the finish, which drifts off into a watery, surprisingly empty ending. Drinkable, but not one of the better beers from this brewery.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Understated floral aroma with a touch of bread and pepper, or even peppermint. Taste is bitter with subtle, sweet caramel undertones. Finishes with a mild, herbal bitter note. Excellent balance. The faint, watery note at the finish, far from being a flaw, adds a surprisingly refreshing note. The quaffability here is amazing given the style. Very nice!

Deep gold with a frothy, white head. Fresh cereal aroma with a touch of caramel. Mildly bitter taste. Light bodied, and a moderate watery texture, but still a decent chewiness. Simple. Good on a hot day. Sampled this right after the Vollbier—probably a bit unfair

Auburn with a frothy, white head. Caramel, toasted nuts, grains. A bit grassy. Taste is bittersweet to bitter. Dry, grainy bitter finish with lingering notes of fresh grains. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation, texture a touch watery. Refreshing. Good on the Fünf Steigla.
