Bügelverschlussflasche: Deep golden, medium head with a good lace, distinctive toasted-malty nose with a good amount of hops; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; distinctive malty and slightly aromatic-hoppy finish. Chewy, well-crafted stuff for those, who can enjoy good Lagers..........

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. Hazy, golden-orange body and an off-white head. Banana dominates the aroma, and has company with cloves and some wheat. There’s some hoppy bitterness in the flavor, as well as citrus, banana, cloves and some wheat. Banana and citrus plays the leading roles, though. It finishes fruity, with a little metallic note. Medium, a bit too carbonated mouthfeel. A well-crafted weissbier, but not world class. (070804)

bottle, bought in Cham. Clear, golden yellow colour with large and creamy head. Lively and visible carbonation. Funnily enough the aroma reminds me of Greek Ouzo made with anise. There is a hint of that in the flavour as well. Very full-bodied, malty, slightly sweet with clear flavours of herbs (anise again). Bitter-sweet finish. Very interesting and good Helles with a very special character.

Bottled. Cloudy pale orange. Sweaty fruity nose. With it’s very restrained esteryness only spun sugar and dust takes it’s place. Some caramel and papre is evident. MIld and strangely spicy. Dull and Erdinger-like.

This was the last beer that I drank when I was in Europe. Drank it while it wasn’t quite cold, but it was still a rather good beer in my opinion. Pretty strong for a lager and not lacking on the flavour aspect either. It is what is to be expected from a store like Harrd’s.

A hazy orange beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw - and so is the flavor, though also with notes of hops, leading to a dry end. A very simple beer.

(bottle; 5,3% ABV) A bit cloudy golden colour with a medium sized foamy white head. Grainy malty and slightly herbal hoppy nose with a tinge of honey. Smooth grainy malty taste, slightly sweet. Malty and hoppy finish, quite balanced, but also a bit viscous.
