30th October 2023, Chez Sophie Monthly Gathering, five guys, beers and bollox. 500ml bottle: BB 24th November 2023, brought by me. We also shared a lovely Christmas Pudding when tasting this (also brought by me). I thought this 'a bit fizzy' and not as rich or decadent as I'd hoped for, it did have a Christmas Pud feel to it, but it somehow 'missed a trick' in my eyes.

Schwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Toffee, Kakao und leicht erdigen Noten. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Black. Aroma is cocoa caramel syrup light booze coconut shell vanilla. Taste is light sweet chocolate with deep rich caramel. Huge boozy and woody vanilla-y finish. Despite being somewhat boozy an excellent flavourful Imperial Stout.

Bottle split at Tilt, Bingo-Cotts Convention, picked up online 08/07/23. Black with a tan cap that retains well. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, light fruit tang, toffee. Taste comprises tangy fruits, light earthy roast, toffee, nutty. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. I'ts okay if a touch simplistic.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours amber gold, partially transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is a little herbaceous, Body and carbonation are average. Taste is fairly bitter, with some good underlying sweetness. Bitterness is especially evident in the final.

On draught at Underdog. Pours inky blacks with brown head. Complex aroma and flavor. Deep whiskey and roast. Black strap molasses. This beer is wonderful.
