Description

(bottle) Hazy, copper colour with loads of floaties [bb-date: Dec. 2007] and a beige foamy medium head. Slightly sweet toast-malty, bready aroma with caramel and moderate herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium body, soft carbonation. Malt-accented toasty and slightly ashy taste with caramel; lingering bitter and herbal hoppy finish. Decent Dunkel.

Biggish, fine off-white head, dark brown-yellow cloudy body. (Not sure about the colour; it was dark, and the light at the brewery was yellow.) Sweet, toffee-like aroma. Big sweet toffee/licorice taste, with slightly hoppy aftertaste. Complex taste. Aftertaste lingers. A very interesting beer, somewhat heavy by German standards. (0.5l mug on tap at the brewery pub.)

Biggish cream-like white head, which subsides. Cloudy, straw-yellow body. Aroma is weizen-like with banana notes, and something else. Makes me think of ice cream. Round, not too strong, slightly sweet weizen taste, light and pleasant, followed by bitterness, which is sharper than usual for a weizen. Not sure what is so special about this, except possibly the extra bitterness. Overall, a nice, light summer drink, not that special. (0.33l on tap at the brewery pub.)
